Although Southwestern and Xeroscaping don’t have to go together, in this particular yard they do. Southwestern is a style of foliage that has a somewhat desert look but can also include color and wonderful variances in foliage that create a unique look.  This yard is also considered a Xeroscaping because in most parts grass has been eliminated and replaced with beds of rock and foliage.
